A Screw Type Industrial Chiller is a chiller that operates with a screw compressor. It has a higher cooling capacity than a scroll chiller and is typically used in chemical plants, ink printing plants, automobile manufacturing plants, central air-conditioning systems, and other large-scale industrial refrigeration. The screw chiller is so named because the key component—the compressor—is of the screw type. The unit exiting the evaporator is a gas refrigerant; after being adiabatically compressed by the compressor, it becomes a high temperature and high pressure state. The compressed gas refrigerant is cooled and condensed in the condenser by isobaric pressure, and after being condensed, it becomes a liquid refrigerant and expands to a low pressure via a throttle valve to become a gas-liquid mixture. Under low temperature and pressure, the liquid refrigerant absorbs the heat of the cooled substance in the evaporator and reverts to a gaseous refrigerant. The gaseous refrigerant returns to the compressor via the pipeline to begin a new cycle. These are the four processes of the refrigeration cycle, as well as the screw chiller's main working principle. Screw chillers are classified as water-cooled screw chillers or air-cooled screw chillers based on how they dissipate heat. The compressor, evaporator, condenser, refrigeration accessories, electric control system, and other components make up the water-cooled screw chiller. When a company buys a water-cooled screw chiller for installation, it must also buy auxiliary heat exchange equipment to provide the circulating cooling water required by the water-cooled screw chiller. Auxiliary equipment for support includes a cooling water tower, a circulating water pump, and a double-layer stainless steel heat preservation water tank. The air-cooled screw chiller has the same configuration as the water-cooled screw chiller, but the condenser is different. It uses a fan to dissipate heat, so it employs a finned condenser to exchange heat with the surrounding air on a continuous basis. As a result, the air-cooled screw chiller does not require a cooling tower, but it does require a circulating water pump and a double-layer stainless steel insulation water tank.
